Daniel chapter 9 deals with prayer and prophecy and tonight we will be focusing on the five points regarding this prayer of Daniel. They are as follows: THE PROMPTING OF PRAYER WHICH WAS THE WORD OF GOD! THE PREPARATION FOR PRAYER BY SETTING OUR FACE TOWARDS GOD, BEING DETERMINED TO PRAY! THE PREFACE OF PRAYER OR REMEMBERING WHO GOD IS, THAT OUR PROBLEMS ARE NOTHING TO THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! Now here in Daniel chapter 8 we see the language change once again, this time from Aramaic to Hebrew. The reason for this change is that God is once again going to speak to His people, the Jews. Thus, this chapter is going to deal primarily with a Kingdom that is going to oppress Israel and thus God is going to speak to Israel in the Hebrew language.
And from now till the end of the book we will see God speaking to Israel. All the things that will transpire will have a direct impact on this nation from wars against them to their deliverance from captivity to the coming of the Messiah as we are going to see over the next several weeks.
We will see in this study the rise of the Medo-Persian Empire, the Grecian Empire and out of the Grecian Empire a man who will foreshadow the Antichrist. Some very interesting prophecy we will be looking at tonight!

These are two powerful chapters in the book of Daniel as chapter 3 focuses on the faith of three Jewish men who are threatened to compromise their faith or be thrown into the fiery furnace. And in Daniel chapter 4 we see the conversion of this pagan King, Nebuchadnezzar. Pride kept him from God until God broke this King of his pride and he “blessed the Most High.” It is as this King closed this chapter, “And those who walk in pride He is able to abase [humble].” Some powerful lessons for us to learn.
